Savcon were provided with an extremely unique and high-profile challenge to design an installation methodology for the timber diagrid shell-shaped structure as part of a $10million NSW Government Initiative, Tumbalong Green Upgrade Project.

The cantilevered structure is only anchored in three locations. Supported by a rolled steel ring beam and 87m 3 of Spruce GLT timber with a tensile membrane roof requiring meticulous compilation, all while balancing such tight scheduling.
