Savcon were elated to be asked to work on Canberra’s first mass timber construction office building.

Despite such a tightly scheduled program we installed 735m 3 of CLT panels from XLAM (Albury Wodonga, Victoria) and 293m 3 Masslam GLT from Australian Sustainable Hardwoods ASH (Heyfield, Victoria) in rapid time.

The post and beam structure forms the identity of the six-storey building totalling an area of 4,500sqm NLA, hovering over a heavier concrete podium and wrapped in a lantern of floor-to-ceiling glazing through which the mass timber structure shines through.
